Large Parakeet

The various large parakeets we sell are Plumheads, Princess of Wales, Quakers, Rosellas and Ringnecks. We know that Plumheads, Princess of Wales and Quaker birds can be kept in mixed aviaries with most birds. On the other hand, Rosellas and Ringnecks should be kept as a pair in individual aviaries, although may mix in aviaries without any nest boxes. All will make good pets because of their vibrant colours and moderate noise level, especially the ringnecks.

Easy to Sex: Can be visually sexed, although with the Quakers DNA sexing is best.
Lifespan: 10-20 years.
Diet: Large parakeet seed, fruit and extra parrot seed can be added.
Specialties: Baths should be provided.
